Bifidobacteria protect mice from nasty E. coli O157:H7

This Thursday Dr. Philippe Langella, a visiting scientist from INRA in France where he studies gut inflammation and probiotics, will present this paper Nature (2011) 469:543-7 on the protective effects of Bifidobacteria due to their ability to produce acetate in the gut. Please encourage your friends and colleagues to attend this special journal club session and remember that it will be held in MDCL 2230 at 3:30pm.
