Pre-term Birth: Unraveling the Mystery of the Vaginal Flora

McMaster Grand Rounds this morning: great talk about the possible use of probiotics as preventative treatment of pre-term birth due to bacterial vaginosis. The most interesting for me was the differences in cytokines produced from placental tissue of male vs. female fetuses!
